The fall is always an exciting time for the Guild, with the first meeting of the year just around the corner. It’s a chance to reconnect with our quilting friends, check out the new books in the library, sign up for workshops, show off our own summer quilt projects (and ooh and aah over everyone else’s) and start making plans on what to tackle next.

This year? Well, it will certainly be different. After a season of cancelled meetings and events, family bubbles, worries over the virus, sewing masks and searching for elastic, on-line fabric shopping, testing the limits of ZOOM for quilting get-togethers and lots (LOTS) of time at home (hopefully productive sewing time), we are so ready for the fall.

And now – here it is! September is right around the corner and it’s time to get together once again. Planning is underway for an exciting year, in spite of COVID. The Executive is busy looking at the ins and outs of in-person meetings and events, or at least figuring out the best way to get together in a virtual world. On-line workshops and lectures are plentiful this year and we’re exploring some exciting opportunities with quilting personalities near and far.

In short, in a challenging time, we’re doing what we can to prepare for a great year ahead for members of the Guild. Stay tuned – we can’t wait to see you!

You are all doing a great job. I am so happy that we will be able to connect even if it is not in person.
