Challenge Quilt Guidelines for 2024 Quilt Show

Challenge Quilt Entry Form

Every Quilt Show the Guild hosts a Challenge to combine a set of fat quarters of fabrics with a theme into a small quilt. Members buy the kits of fabric early in the year and create their quilts. These quilts are donated to the Guild and then sold by silent auction over the three days of the Quilt Show, with all proceeds going to the charity Christmas Daddies.

Here are the guidelines for the 2024 Challenge Quilt for those members who have a kit.

  • Each bundle contains four fat quarters, 100% cotton, not pre-washed
  • The front of your entry must incorporate all four fabrics provided. You may add up to three other fabrics of your choice.
  • Your entry may be in any style (traditional, modern, art quilt)
  • Use any quilting techniques (piecing, appliqué, fusing, painting, printing)
  • Embellishments are permitted (thread, beads, wool, paint)
  • The finished piece can be any shape.
  • The perimeter cannot exceed 120 inches in total
  • A two inch sleeve must be attached to the back of the quilt.
  • Your entry should be submitted at the September 2024 guild  meeting.

 Challenge Quilt Entry Form 2024 – available June 1 – September 1, 2024
