The weather co-operated again and we had a good turnout for our March meeting. VP Christine has been filling in for President Cathy and doing a wonderful job keeping us in line! Lots of news, plans for our 2016 bi-annual quilt show is well underway and everyone is encouraged to enter their quilts and to support the sales room with hand made items, fabric, gently read books etc. September will be here before we know it.
We were pleased to see our youngest member Olwynn back with us and excited to share her quilt which was begun at a Heather Stewart workshop.
Sandy finished her table mat from the Celtic Knot workshop and is planning on making another.
We were saddened to hear that our workshops with Susan Tilsley Manley have had to be cancelled, we all wish Susan well.
Our EQ Dessert party is Wednesday May 11, tickets went on sale last Monday and as of today I have 11 tickets left out of 160!! So if you haven't reserved a ticket yet please let me know robsonbh@eastlink.ca Registration for workshops with our EQ Katie Pasquini Masopust began yesterday by mail. if you need any information, registration form etc contact robsonbh@eastlink.ca
Everyone enjoyed the techniques demonstrations ogoing on around the hall. Thanks to everyone who participated. Sorry I didn't get any pictures, I was busy doing a demonstration for the Strip Tube Ruler!
Our next meeting is Monday April 4, the hall opens at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.
