The Seaside Stitchers share their last challenge which was based to be on a song. See the pictures on our Flickr photostream.

Finally, the Guild was able to have a meeting though on the day it was looking doubtful! We were happy to have about 38 hearty souls gather at the hall for a wonderful meeting. Many thanks to Lynn and her team for a terrific program of "Goin' Fishing". Just about everyone there participated with a tip or trick that related to quilting. Everyone was given the chance to "fish" for a wonderful prize. Watch for the tips to be added to our "Tips and Tricks" page on the blog soon.

Show and tell was, as always a delight. Everyone has been very productive through this snowy and stormy winter. be sure and check out our Fickr photo albums for pictures here. It was wonderful to see the over 100 cuddle quilts displayed in the church. They will soon be distributed to charities in our region. Thanks to Valerie, Sheila and Leverne for all their organizing, hard work and to everyone who helped or contributed in some way.

We held the draw for the two Guild scholarships for the Quilter's Retreat at Pictou Lodge. The lucky winners are Valerie Langille-Johnson and Isabel Fancy! Both are first timers to the Retreat and I am sure they will have a wonderful time.

Plans are well underway for our annual Quilter's Yard Sale on Saturday May 2 at Trinity United Church Hall and for our Dessert Party with an Extraordinary Quilter, Becky Goldsmith from Piece O' Cake Designs on Wed. May 27. Workshops with Becky will follow on the 28th, 29th and 30th! Details are here.
