A quilter’s dream, a table full of scraps!
So many colours to chose from.
The colour wheels are taking shape.

It was a full house for Linnet’s Colour Theory workshop and from all reports everyone learned a lot. Michele N said “Linnet is a wonderful teacher, full of information and presented in detail that filled the room with excited chatter.” Ann commented “Very well presented! We all learned tons and laughed along the way. Thanks Linnet.” And a comment from Linnet “I had a wonderful day teaching colour theory in Mahone Bay yesterday! Everyone created their own colour wheel, we made messes and played with fabric scraps, tried out different ways of selecting a colour pallette, and more. The women of the #mahonebayquiltersguild were lovely and welcoming, and despite the grey day it was all sunshine and rainbows inside Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia!”

From Michele N – “Linnet Finley, our instructor for the day, scheduled from 9am -4pm April 14 was both detailed and fun. Linnet explained the mechanics of colour. The class was broke down in several sections, breaking down every aspect of the influence of colour. Each session had hands on segments applying what was taught to fabrics, supplied in kits, patterns and other types of mediums ensuring we understood each portion of the class.

With all of these elements combined we are better prepared in making the confident decisions to select the perfect coloured fabric combinations to make our quilts really sing.
Complimentary colours, light, Hue,Value and colour schemes and the impact these have on the colours that surround us.

Great class, I’m so very happy I attended.”
