Welcome back and Happy New Year!! This will be our 27th year of the Mahone Bay Quilters Guild! And we have a wonderful year planned with workshops, programs and events. We would like to welcome our new members and hope they will all participate, we welcome your ideas and expertise.

We had a wonderful turnout last night, lots of chatter and lots of shopping. We had been given fabric, notions and books which we decided to sell for very reasonable, low prices to help raise some money for prizes for our quilt show next September 2018. Thanks you all for supporting this effort.

Be sure and check our workshop and program pages (links are on the right side of the blog) for the most up to date information of what is coming up and how to register. Our first workshop is a "skills" workshop on September 23. This will be a great opportunity to learn something new or refresh your own skills.

Sept'17-21

As always show and tell was terrific. Be sure and check out all the pictures on our Flickr Photostream here. I especially loved Bev's "Stroller (or car seat) quilt for a baby. Such a simple idea! You can find a tutorial here on the Moda Bake Shop. If you have never explored the Moda Bake Shop, do take the time. there are some wonderful ideas and tutorials there for all sorts of quilts and accessories.

Many thanks to Linda for sharing the SAQA Atlantic trunk show. Unfortunately I couldn't get pictures as the plastic covering of each piece created quite a glare. But you can see what SAQA Atlantic is all about here and the pictures of the trunk show can be seen here. Be sure and check out what SAQA is all about, there are links on their website.

Sept'17-04

Linda H's beautiful New York Beauty, quilted by Debbie Vermeulen.

Our next meeting is Monday October 2, the hall opens at 6:30.
