After the Dessert Party we got busy with the workshops. Becky taught a one day applique workshop Backyard Birds and then two days of improvisational quilting and applique. I was very intrigued with Becky's use of technology to show her detailed hand work. she used a combination of a digital project and a Sony Handy Cam which projected on a large screen, in great detail what her hands were doing. This meant everyone could stay in their seats and see clearly what she was explaining. Very clever!

I am quite sure there will be a few Backyard Birds showing up at Show and Tell soon!
The Improv workshop was next and that was fun but hard to let go of old habits such has straight lines and squaring up as you go. Looking at the pictures I realized that Improv is not as easy as it looks! It will be fun to continue with this and let go! Again I know everyone enjoyed it and learned a lot.
