Well, what a great way to end another Guild year! A wonderful pot luck dinner, a short and sweet AGM and an inspiring trunk show with Susan Tilsley Manley.

At our AGM Honourary Life Memberships were given to Ruth Searle and Lorraine MacQuarrie.

We also started a new "volunteer recognition award" which was given to Valerie Langille, above and Diane MacMillan, below

The award is a glass plate that has been engraved with our Guild logo. The bags were made by Nancy MacIntosh.

Many thanks to Linnet Finley and Daisy Ballam who are leaving the Executive and thanks to Christine Bell, our new VP and to Sandy Emaneau who is taking over Show and tell, also to Barb Himmelman who is going to co-chair our quilt show committee with Marilyn Harris Hart.

Susan Tilsley Manley's trunk show was wonderful and inspiring. Everyone enjoyed her sense of humour and unique take on some political themes in her art quilts. We are looking forward to having her back next year for a workshop or two!

A Good Day Fishing Susan's use of rust and photographs create unique and almost ethereal images. Be sure and check our Flickr Photostream here for a lot more of Susan's wonderful art quilts.

Our show and tell at our meetings never disappoints, we have such a productive Guild!

Gail's portrait of her Father-in-law, which she started in a workshop with Susan. The likeness is quite wonderful! More pictures on our Flickr Photostream here.

We have a busy fall coming up, lots going on in the summer too so do check back and see what we have been up to.
