Merry Christmas!

By 11 December 2013Christmas Party

Guild members gathered last week for our annual Christmas Pot Luck Dinner and party. The weather cooperated and we had a wonderful turnout, delicious food from appetizers, main courses and salads and desserts to die for! As well as wonderful quilters our members are terrific cooks! Thanks everyone for sharing and for making the hall look so festive.

Much of the show and tell had a seasonal theme or were gifts for lucky family members or friends. It is always wonderful to see results and completed projects from workshops show up at show and tell. A big incentive for others in the workshop as well as a boost for the teacher. I am sure we will see more in the coming months. Be sure and visit our Flickr photo page  for more show and tell.

Once again we had our annual Christmas ornament exchange. We ask for handmade ornaments, either made by the donor or purchased from someone who made it. Over half of our members who came participated and we all got a wonderful treasure.

With 2013 drawing to a close, on behalf of the executive of the Mahone Bay Quilter's Guild, I wish you all a very happy and festive Christmas and all the very best in 2014.
