As soon as Linda M showed this quilt she made, which was inspired by a quilt she saw on the Fons and Porter tv show, members were asking for a workshop. Linda kindly obliged and lots signed up. I think it has been one of the most successful workshops in that almost everyone who took the workshop has completed their quilt.
Helen C's Star Surprise was hand quilted by Helen and her bee, the Bay Buddies.
Each quilt was so different because of the colours and fabrics chosen by the quilters.
Each quilt was also different depending on the number of blocks the quilter chose to make.
Debbie called hers Surprise Stars. It is queen size and was machine quilted by member Lynn Jones. It has a wool batt.
Some added extra borders – or not.
Sandra R's second version of Surprise Star was made with just 9 blocks. It was made for "the newest star in her family", baby Zae. It is made with the Aunt Grace line of fabrics and was machine quilted by Sandra..
