We had a wonderful turnout to our September meeting with 68 members present plus 4 new members and 2 guests. Welcome back everyone, I hope you will all enjoy the year and participate in lots of Guild activities. The year is getting off to a big start with our Quilt Show coming up in a couple of weeks – September 28-30 at the Blockhouse fire hall. Plus all Guild members are invited to come to the opening reception at 7pm on September 27.

At the Quilt Show we have a Silent Auction of wallhangings and table runners. All the money raised from this auction will go the annual "Christmas Daddies" fund raiser hosted locally by CTV. The money we raise will come back to help and support children in Lunenburg County and I know it will raise their Christmas spirit. So do come out and place a bid, come back often – the auction ends Sunday afternoon at 3pm. The winning bidders can pick up their wallhangings/table runners at that time.
