The Mahone Bay Quilters Guild bi-annual quilt show is this weekend, September 28-30 in conjunction with the Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival. It is such a wonderful weekend in the town of Mahone Bay. Lots of activities for the whole family and lots of scarecrows to see around town.
This is the first year the Guild has it's very own scarecrow – well, three of them! Did you know that the shoemaker's wife was a member of our Guild? With many thanks to Lynn Whyte and her husband Ken, Lee Cassidy and Cathy Drummond who constructed this wonderful trio and to the Tea Brewery for letting us set up on their doorstep.
So watch for the "quiltmobile" parked in front of the Blockhouse Fire Hall and come on in. We are open Friday and Saturday from 10am – 5:30pm and Sunday from 1-5pm. Admission is $4 and stop by the Tea Brewery on Main St. and have a visit with the elves!
