Our Guild members along the South Shore and beyond are busy this summer finishing up (or beinning!) their quilts for our bi-annual quilt show September 28, 29 and 30, 2012 at the Blockhouse Firehall.
There will be lots happening at the Quilt Show with our Silent Auction of wallhangings and table runners with the proceeds going to the CTV Christmas fundraiser "Christmas Daddies". All the money raised and donated in Lunenburg County stays in Lunenburg County to make Christmas a bit brighter for children in need. Our Guild has been a wonderful supporter of this charity event. The theme of this year's challenge is "Celebrate Fall".
There will also be a gift boutique of hand made items made by our members with everything from quilts (large and small) to Christmas ornaments, jams and jellies, quilted home accesories, along with books and fabric for quilters. Something for everyone.
Our wonderful raffle quilt will be on display and tickets can be purchased. The draw will take place on Sunday afternoon, September 30.
Quilters Garden was pieced by Isabel Fancy and hand quilted by members of our Guild.
Come and join us, see our quilts, try your hand at quilting – members will be there demonstrating various aspects of quilting throughout the show, we love to talk about our quilts and share them with you.
