Happy New Year!

Yes, our new Guild year is about to start – Monday September 9 (one week from today), 7pm at Trinity United Church Hall in Mahone Bay. The hall opens at 6:30pm. We are happy to welcome new members ($30 membership dues). Guests are welcome to come to a maximum of 2  meetings to check us out, after that we ask you to please join! We have an exciting lineup of programs and workshops coming up. As well we are looking forward to our annual Retreat to The Quarterdeck Resort at Summerville Beach in the spring, our bi-annual quilt show next fall (2020) and our Extraordinary Quilter in the spring, more news on that soon.

There will be a few new faces on the executive and various committees this year. Above is Jill Greene who is taking over the photography duties so please be sure and smile when you see Jill!

Coming up soon (September 16) is our new members tea. This will be the third year we have welcomed our new members to an afternoon of tea and sweets and conversations all about quilting and our Guild.

Have you paid your dues ($30) for this year? If not please come prepared to do so at the September meeting, anyone who does not renew by September 15 will be removed from the membership list.

Did you see Angela Clifton’s beautiful Christmas Baltimore Album quilt at the DesBrisay Museum in Bridgewater this summer? Angela will be presenting a wonderful trunk show of her quilts at our September meeting and as well Sandy Ternoway will be having a pop-up fabric sale before the meeting so come prepared with some cash! See you there!
