Our new banner made by Sandy E, Barb R, Ann P and Marilyn V. It will hang at the Biscuit Eater Café during our Slow Quilting afternoons.

For almost a year and a half anywhere from 6 to about 20 quilters meet twice a month at the Biscuit Eater Café here in Mahone Bay to spend a couple of hours “slow quilting”. We all work on our own projects and do it by hand. Some are embroidering, some hand quilting, some hand piecing or English Paper Piecing, some do applique and a few have brought their knitting. We are a gréât resource as well we are all learning! We welcome anyone to join us whether you have been before or not, whether you are a beginner or an experienced quilter. Our next gathering will be Monday April 29 from 2-4pm. Come see what we are all about!

We are gearing up for our annual mini retreat at the Quarterdeck Resort, we will have almost 3 days of swing, quilting and socializing! Can’t wait. Then soon after that on May 4 will be our bi-annual Yard Sale at the church hall and then we will have or Extraordinary Quilter Elaine Quehl from Ottawa join us for an afternoon tea and trunk show followed by 3 days of workshops. We sure are a busy Guild!

Thanks for coming to Mahone Bay and sharing your wonderful works of art! It was very inspiring and very interesting to hear how you all work together and inspire each other.

One of their challenges that was to be inspired by a photograph of a barn.
