Cheryl gives Peggy some advice with her blocks.

We were treated this month with a visit from Calgary quilter Cheryl Arkison. Cheryl was on a Maritmes tour with events in Halfax, Mahone Bay, Charlottetwon and Fredericton. She made the most of being here for sure! The day started with her workshop “Values Plus” where members pushed themselves to a better understanding of value in colours through fabric play and improvisation they made blocks that can be used in many different ways. We are looking forward to seeing the results in future Guild “show and tell”.

That evening Cheryl unpacked her suitcase and shared with us many inspiring quilts. i loved her enthusiasm and her creativity of finding inspiration. A favourite of mine was her “Mountain Meadow”. If you have ever been in the mountains when the meadows are in bloom, you will understand!
