There was snow on the ground but that didn’t deter a big crowd coming out for our April meeting! And we have four new members – welcome Gail, Kimberley, Marlene and Elizabeth!

Plans for our 18th Extraordinary Quilter Dessert Party and workshops with Janet Barker (from Calgary) are coming up fast, April 25-28, 2018. There are just a couple of tickets left for the Dessert Party and both workshops are full! Thanks to everyone for their support and to our wonderful members who are making some delicious desserts! We are all looking forward to it.

We had another wonderful show and tell! Here is Sheila’s Log Cabin which was quilted by the Cathedral Quilters.

Heather’s version of Pat Sloan’s “Grandmother’s Kitchen”

And Jill’s “Mariner’s Compass”, yet to be quilted, it is a retirement gift for a friend. Lucky friend!

Kathy Higgins presented a wonderful trunk show of her hand and machine appliqued quilts and wallhangings, which were hand and machine quilted.
