November 2016 Meeting

The weather cooperated and we had another terrific turnout for our November meeting. We heard from our two co-chairs of the quilt show, Marilyn and Barb, that we had a profit of $3870, well done everyone. I know everyone worked hard and as always we are so grateful to all the members who volunteered their time. We are also please to be able to send a cheque to Christmas Daddies again this year for $1,000. We will be back at work in January, we will need a committee and we may need to find a new location for our show. Stay tuned!

Plans are well underway for our annual Christmas party and pot luck dinner on Monday December 5. The hall will be open at 5pm, we will have a brief special meeting at 5:30 to update our bylaws (more information will be coming out soon). We always have such a great time, great food and festive surprises!

One of our newer members, Marjorie Skinner, shared a wonderful trunk show of her quilts and wallhangings, Christmas decor and pillows. Thanks Marjorie for sharing, your work is really special and we all enjoyed it so much. Please see our Flickr page here for more pictures of Marjorie's quilts.
