Yesterday I delivered 73 quilts to the Neo Natal Intensive care Unit at the IWK Children's and Women's Hospital in Halifax. These quilts were made by members of the Mahone Bay Quilters Guild and the Mayflower Quilters Guild. We have donated well over 500 quilts in the past 6 years! An amazing accomplishment and I thank you all for your continued support of this project.
The nurses all gathered round when they saw us coming with 3 large bags of quilts.
They were so excited to open the bags and see all the quilts. They were so grateful and thanked us from the staff and the families and the babies who will receive the quilts.
Thanks again everyone – keep them coming! The preemie quilts can be brought in to any Guild meeting. I plan on making another delivery during the summer.
