What’s ahead for 2022?

Starting January 6 – Nautical MBQG Quilt Along

This new Guild Quilt Along gets underway on January 6 via Zoom.  Join in with other members of the Guild as they take on the challenge of this original design by Tara Lynas of Gulls Nest Quilts.  Download Schedule Nautical QAL for a sneak peek at the full quilt and the list of upcoming Zoom sessions. For more information – and to take part, contact Tara at GullsNestQuilts@yahoo.com

March 26 – Cuddle Quilt Day

Cuddle Quilt Day is an important event for the Guild each year. This is an opportunity to collect all those quilts that members have worked on throughout the year, to provide them to organizations who can ensure that they reach those who might benefit from them.

The details of the day are coming together.  If you need batting, backing or quilting, just send an email. Cuddle Quilt guidelines can be found here.

May 26 and 27, 11:30 to 4:00  – Hover Quilting with Peter Byrne (a Zoom workshop)

Hover-quilting is a new form of raw edge appliqué, with no fusible web. This innovative technique produces not only a beautiful controlled frayed edge. It also creates the illusion that your applique is hovering above the quilt top. Find out more about the workshop and how to register here:  Download Workshop Ad Hover Quilting May

A materials list will be posted shortly.
