We held our Cuddle Quilt Day this year in March rather than January when the weather can be so unpredictable. I think this will be our regular day for Cuddle Quilt Day now, the weather was great and we had a terrific turnout of members, past members, guests and members of the community. Many, may thanks to everyone who came, who stitched, who tied and who cooked! It was a terrific day, we were all well cared for with a delicious lunch and treats.
Our wonderful organizers Valerie, Leverne and Sheila, tired but happy to be in the church full of quilts. The quilts will be distributed to various charities, mostly in Lunenburg County as well as the IWK NICU and Ronald McDonald House in Halifax. At the time of writing we were close to 170 quilts almost finished!
Sorry this is a little fuzzy, Anna brought along her sister Joan and 2 exchange students Maria from Columbia and Yuki Japan. They learned how to tie a quilt, thanks so much for coming!
Six of the 10 machine sewers who helped out for the day. Thanks again to everyone who came and helped!
