At our meeting last Monday, we had some spectacular treasures for SewâNâTell! 𧔠First off we had Nina share her adorable âPeggy Langford Hexie Methodâ footstool cover. Then we had Marjorie show off her jaw-dropping Lap Quilt, which we machine-pieced by her âïž Then Peggy showed us her lovely Tamarack Jacket sheâd been working on the last few months. The coat itself was constructed by blocks her granddaughter sewed previously - how sweet đ And then Peggy showcased her INCREDIBLE hand-pieced Hexie Quilt. We took a close-up of the back so that you could see the tedious stitching that went into each hexagon. Magnificent! And Janice showcased this whimsical Block of the Month pattern she worked away on. How fun are some of these blocks! âïž And lastly Katie shared her self-drafted wavy vest with free-motion embroidery đȘĄ We meet the first Monday of the month, times vary! Check out our website for the full schedule. Our next meeting is on Monday, November 2 at 1PM đ

OUR RAFFLE QUILT WINNER! đ
Thank you to Heather West for purchasing the lucky raffle ticket in support of the Mahone Bay Quiltersâ Guild. She went home with the City Sampler by Tula Pink - a quilt that over 70 of our members worked on âïž
Thanks to all those who bought and sold tickets this year!
THANK YOU! We were able to raise $1720.00 in support of Christmas Daddies this year through the Silent Auction at the Quilt Show. 13 pieces were included in the Auction.
A huge thank you to not only the folks behind the quilts, but to the lucky winners of each piece! âïž
We were able to grab a few photos of some of the lucky winners (even with some of the artists) before they took their new treasures home đ
BEST IN SHOW & VIEWERâS CHOICE đ„
âcampignons du monde - Mushrooms of the Worldâ by Judy Cooper đ
This jaw-dropping hand-pieced, hand appliquéd, embroidered, beaded, hand-dyed wool, linen, flannel, thrifted clothing piece was a show stopper indeed, bringing home first place in both categories this weekend.
Judyâs quilt will also have the opportunity to be showcased in the Canadian Quilterâs Association (CQA) National Show next June!
The most sincere & heartfelt congratulations goes to Judy & all our other incredible artists this weekend.
