Monthly Guild Meeting
December Monthly Guild Meeting
December 2, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Business Meeting: Afternoon meetings begin at 1:00 pm, with doors open at 12:30 pm. The business meeting usually lasts 30-40 minutes.
Fat Quarter Draw: There’s no FQ Draw this month – instead we’re doing an ornament exchange, see below.
Program: Potluck! Members are encouraged to bring their favourite holiday dish that they are famous for making! Be sure to bring a plate, cup and cutlery. There will also be an ornament exchange – bring in a handmade tree ornament (made by you or someone else) for the exchange and take home a different one!
Sew & Tell: The meeting wraps up with sharing our completed projects. If you’re bringing items in person, then look for the sign up sheet. Photos will be added to the Photo Gallery here.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT GUILD MEETINGS:
In Person Check-in: Please give your name at the front desk when you arrive. If you have questions about anything, someone at the desk can help.
Guests: Members are permitted to bring a non-member guest to the meeting two times. This can be in person or virtually. Please advise Membership (mbqgmembership@gmail.com) if you plan to bring a guest, so they may be properly introduced at the meeting.
Library: Before the meeting is a great time to browse our library and borrow one of the new acquisitions. Our Librarian always welcomes suggestions for library purchases.
Donation items: Your quilt donations are welcome at any meeting.
And please remember that for all in-person meetings:
- Events are scent free
- You should wear a name tag – any type is fine. You can order a printed Guild name tag from Elizabeth or make your own.
- Don’t be shy about introducing yourself to someone you might not know – we have many new members
- Return any library books you have

Donna’s wool applique Village.
Inspired by Kim MacLean’s pattern this amazing quilt is our raffle quilt for this year. Tickets are available from Guild members now and they will also be available at various Farmers Markets throughout the summer as well as at our Quilt Show Sept. 27, 28 and 29th. The draw for the winner will be on the 29th. The quilt was pieced by Krista G and quilted by Pam W. Well done everyone and good luck!
