2025 MBQG Quilt Retreat (In-Person)

$45Very Exciting News…..We are well on our way to planning our 2025 Retreat. Following are all details regarding the retreat.
We have our maximum of 30 attendees and several on a wait list.
Annette Fralic has contacted everyone to let them know if they are in or if they are waitlisted.
Hotel Information.
There is a block of rooms set aside at the special rate of $129 plus tax per night for the night of May 23 and May 24, 2025.
Book early if you plan to stay overnight as the block of rooms will be released one month before the event.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BOOKING AND MANAGING YOUR OWN RESERVATION WITH THE HOTEL.
The hotel is the Best Western Plus at 63 Queens Place Drive, Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
Please call the hotel directly to avoid confusion in getting our special room rate.
Ask for the Mahone Bay Quilters Guild Retreat Event Rate for May 23 and 24 2025.

By staying at the hotel overnight you will be treated to their lovely hot and cold breakfast each morning, as well as coffee, tea, and water all day long in the breakfast room.
The cost for the retreat itself will be $45 each.
This will be kept separate from the Guild funds and will be paid directly to Annette (preferably payment by cash, if you must e-transfer please let Annette know as it will need to go into her account).
Payment must be received no later than March 15th (Cuddle Quilt Day).
Annette will be at the March general meeting as well as Cuddle Quilt Day to accept payments.
If payment is not received by that time your spot will be opened to the next person on the waitlist.
Payment guarantees your spot.
The format will look different from other MBQG Retreats.
There is open independent sewing available all day and night if you want to be that ambitious!
The first person to the conference room in the morning can go to the front desk to get the room opened for the day.
The last person sewing at night will go to the front desk to let them know the room is ready to be locked for the night.
There are no classes planned.
You may plan social activities amongst yourselves.
There will be door prizes throughout the weekend.
Everyone is responsible for their own meals.
There are many options close by and Annette will get the places and hours of operation prepared closer to the retreat.
NO alcohol permitted in the conference room.
Bring a non-see through “sippy” cup with you such as a YETI, etc.
Great News! Violet Quilts will be holding a pop-up shop at the retreat. Nothing better than quilting, except quilting and shopping for fabric at the same time!!

Inspired by Kim MacLean’s pattern this amazing quilt is our raffle quilt for this year. Tickets are available from Guild members now and they will also be available at various Farmers Markets throughout the summer as well as at our Quilt Show Sept. 27, 28 and 29th. The draw for the winner will be on the 29th. The quilt was pieced by Krista G and quilted by Pam W. Well done everyone and good luck!
