MBQG Raffle Quilt Block Assignment Request

As MBQG’s raffle quilt for the 2026 Quilt Show we are going to make a collaborative scrappy quilt based on the blocks designed by Tula Pink and published in her book Tula Pink’s City Sampler: 100 modern quilt blocks, 2013.

As a member you can ask to be assigned one or two blocks (or more!) using the below form.

We’ll be in touch with more information about your specific block, but here are some general guidelines.

  • You just need to make one each of your assigned block(s) (there are 100 in total and there will be no duplicates)
  • The final size of the block is 6.5″, please square it to that before you hand it in.
  • All blocks should be back to the Guild by the April meetings so that Kellie and Eldora have time to prepare the quilt top for the June meeting.

FABRICS

Tula pink prints — any print. Any colour. No piece in any block is larger than 4.5″ square or 2.5″ x 6.5″.
Solids don’t have to be Tula Pink, but they should match pretty well with your block.

If you need fabric we have lots to share — you can pick it up at the March Guild meeting or from Nina in Lunenburg or we can post you some. Heidi Wulfraat’s Woolworks in Mahone Bay sells it, too 🙂 If you indicated you need fabric we’ll offer some suggestions when we send you your blocks.

If you indicated you don’t have access to the book, we’ll send you the instructions for your block(s) only from the Guild’s copy of the book.
