DESCRIPTION:Our winter meetings (January-March) are moved to the afternoon\, so we don’t have to drive in the evening. \nDoors open at 12:30 pm. \nBusiness Meeting: The meeting begins at 1:00 pm\, usually lasting 30-40 minutes. \nProgram:   Unfortunately\, the presentation by Heidi Wolfraat of Woolworks has been cancelled. BUT be sure to attend the meeting for a SURPRISE AUCTION! Raise your paddle (provided) to bid on a number of items that will be on display after the business meeting. Payments for your bargain items can be made by cash or cheque – so raid your piggy bank or bring your cheque book.\n \nFat Quarter Draw: Red/Valentine fabric \nSew & Tell: The meeting wraps up with sharing our completed projects. If you’re bringing items in person\, then look for the sign up sheet. \n\n\n\nGENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT GUILD MEETINGS: \n\n\n\n  \nIn Person Check-in: Please give your name at the front desk when you arrive. If you have questions about anything\, someone at the desk can help. There will be raffle tickets and a revised membership renewal form available to pick up. \nGuests: Members are permitted to bring a non-member guest to the meeting two times. DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 6:30 p.m. \nBusiness Meeting: The meeting begins at 7:00 pm\, usually lasting 30-40 minutes. \nProgram:   The Project Pouch exchange promises lots of surprises and inspiration whether you chose to participate or not in this fun exchange project. Stay tuned for details for the rest of the October program.\n \nFat Quarter Draw: Jill is coordinating the draw this month. The theme for October is nautical! \nSew & Tell: The meeting wraps up with sharing our completed projects. Look for the sign up sheet. \n\n\n\nGENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT GUILD MEETINGS: \n\n\n\nDoors open at 6:30 p.m. for evening meetings and at 12:30 p.m. for afternoon meetings\, unless otherwise stated.  \nIn Person Check-in: Please give your name at the front desk when you arrive. If you have questions about anything\, someone at the desk can help. There will be raffle tickets and a revised membership renewal form available to pick up. \nGuests: Members are permitted to bring a non-member guest to the meeting two times. This can be in person or virtually. Please advise Membership (mbqgmembership@gmail.com) if you plan to bring a guest\, so they may be properly introduced at the meeting. \nLibrary: Before the meeting is a great time to browse our library and borrow one of the new acquisitions. Our Librarian always welcomes suggestions for library purchases. \nDonation items: Your quilt donations are welcome at any meeting. \n\n\n\nAnd please remember that for all in-person meetings: \n\n–  Events are scent free\n–  You should wear a name tag – any type is fine. SUMMARY:Pillowcase Kit Pick up Day
DESCRIPTION:Due to the approaching storm\, we have decided to cancel the Pillowcase Day planned for this Saturday. \n\nInstead of rebooking we have decided to cut the donated fabric into kits for members to pick up and sew at home.  The pick-up time will be held this Monday\, September 18th\, from 1-3 in the afternoon\, at Gow’s Hardware Store in Bridgewater. (Come to the room in the back of the store that they lend out to charities.)\n\nThe kits may not include the 2″ strip required for the trim piece.  We are hoping that members will be able to add that.\n\nPlease bring completed pillowcases to the October meeting. (Or drop off before that to Janet (199 Mader’s Cove Road\, Mader’s Cove) or Marilyn (704 Main Street\, Mahone Bay).\n\nBelow see three important attachments for completing the pillowcases:\n\n1.  New this year:    Labels – which need to be sewn into the inside seam\, directions attached below. (If the pillowcases are already made the labels will be ironed on after being collected.)\n\n2.  Laundering Instructions ( Important: must be scent free detergent / no dryer sheets – please read attached memo below).
