DESCRIPTION:Location change for Slow Quilting\n\n\nWe received the following email which we are sharing FYI.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe Hungry Traveler Cafe isn’t available to sit & stitch participants for the rest of the summer.\n\n\nI have space to host summer sit & stitch and am offering to have it here at my place in Bridgewater.\n\n\nI’ve reserved the space to meet on the second and fourth Monday in July between 2:00 – 4:00. In August\, we can have the room on the 11th only.\n\n\n \n\n\nI’m in Treehouse Village in Bridgewater – the address of our Community Bldg. is 39 Treehouse Lane. It’s the big building at the far end of the parking lot. I’ll put a sign on the door to let people know how to find the room.\n\n\n \n\n\nVisitors can park in any available parking spot that does not have an EV charger.\n\n\nCar-sharing would be much appreciated\, as we don’t have a lot of available spaces.\n\n\n \n\n\nIf anyone needs more information\, I can be reached by email: sue@aylesworth.ca

DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nSlow Quilting for 2025-2026\n \nSlow Quilting is back and ready to get together again at ”The Nest”\, Treehouse Village\, Bridgewater.\n \nOur dates for 2025-2026 *from 1-4pm each afternoon\n \nOctober 20 & 27th \nNovember 10 & 24 \nDecember 8 & 22 \nJanuary 12 & 26 \nFebruary 9 & 23\nMarch 9 & 23\nApril 27\nMay 11 & 25\nJune 8 & 22\n \nThe address is 39 Treehouse Lane\, stay to the right\, we are in the last building at the end of the driveway. Park in any spot that doesn’t have an EV charger\, those are reserved.\n \nThere will be a sign on the door. We meet in “the Nest” – a nice room with great light and comfy chairs on the 3rd floor\, access by stairs or by elevator. \nIf you take the elevator\, push the button and hold it until the elevator door opens. Hold the elevator button (inside) till you get to the 3rd floor.\n \nPlease bring indoor shoes as we don’t wear outdoor shoes into the room.  \nOutdoor shoes are fine on the stairs and elevator\, there are boot trays at each outside door\, including the top floor.\n \nPlease bring your coffee/tea or whatever drink you like and treats for the group are always welcome. \n \n*Please note we have extended the time from 1-4pm\, you are welcome to come anytime and to leave anytime!\n \nBring any handwork from appliqué to piecing to sewing a binding! DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nSlow Quilting for 2025-2026\n \nSlow Quilting is back and ready to get together again at ”The Nest”\, Treehouse Village\, Bridgewater.\n \nOur dates for 2025-2026 *from 1-4pm each afternoon\n \nOctober 20 & 27th \nNovember 10 & 24 \nDecember 8 & 22 \nJanuary 12 & 26 \nFebruary 9 & 23\nMarch 9 & 23\nApril 27\nMay 11 & 25\nJune 8 & 22\n \nThe address is 39 Treehouse Lane\, stay to the right\, we are in the last building at the end of the driveway. Park in any spot that doesn’t have an EV charger\, those are reserved.\n \nThere will be a sign on the door. We meet in “the Nest” – a nice room with great light and comfy chairs on the 3rd floor\, access by stairs or by elevator. \nIf you take the elevator\, push the button and hold it until the elevator door opens. Hold the elevator button (inside) till you get to the 3rd floor.\n \nPlease bring indoor shoes as we don’t wear outdoor shoes into the room.  \nOutdoor shoes are fine on the stairs and elevator\, there are boot trays at each outside door\, including the top floor.\n \nPlease bring your coffee/tea or whatever drink you like and treats for the group are always welcome. \n \n*Please note we have extended the time from 1-4pm\, you are welcome to come anytime and to leave anytime!\n \nBring any handwork from appliqué to piecing to sewing a binding! DESCRIPTION:OPEN SEW DAY UPDATE!! \nWe are very pleased to announce that we have the first open sew day booked for\nTHURSDAY\, NOVEMBER 20 at the Trinity United Church Hall (where we meet) from 10am to 4pm. \nYou can come for the day or pop in for a shorter visit. \nWe will have all the tables set up and space will be based on how many people attend. \nHand stitchers are welcome as well as machine sewers. \nWe have ironing boards and full-size irons but feel free to bring your own travel iron and wool mat if you like.  We have a cutting mat if needed but please bring your own ruler and rotary cutter if using.  Please bring your own extension cord or wheel if you are planning to plug something in\, such as a sewing machine\, iron\, or extra lighting. We have several\, but not enough for everyone. \nPack a lunch or run out for a snack when you get hungry. \nThis is an unstructured day to work on whatever you like and share ideas with other members. \nHope to see what you are sewing in November.

DESCRIPTION:Potluck Update\nGood news! We have now secured an alternate location for Monday’s\nPotluck Party. The new location is the West Side United Church Hall in\nPentz\, between Bridgewater and LaHave. Some of you may already be\nfamiliar with the hall as it is the location of the Coastal Quilters\nBee. \nTo get to the hall\, travel south from Bridgewater\, towards\nPleasantville\, on Highway 331. It is immediately after the Pentz\nElementary School and is civic #2702. See you on Monday! \nDoors open at 12:30 p.m.\, meeting 1-3pm \nFat Quarter Draw:   Theme for December Neutrals.  The more you bring\, the better your chances are of winning. \nProgram:  Holiday Meeting and Potluck \nFor your potluck contribution\, the choice is yours. Your dish can be hot\, cold\, an appetizer\, main course\, or dessert (remember to bring a serving utensil). You will have the opportunity to reheat your dish and there will be outlets for crockpots. Please make up a label with the name of your dish\, country of origin (if known)\, and a list of ingredients\, for people with food sensitivities. As always\, remember to bring your own mug/cup\, dishes\, and cutlery as well as a bag in which to take home your dirty dishes.\nWe will be collecting donations for the local food bank\, so please bring along a non-persishable food item or consider making a monetary donation.\nIf you are taking part in either the Ornament Exchange and/or the Mug Rug Exchange\, remember to pack those as well. These exchanges are entirely voluntary. If you want to participate in the Mug Rug Exchange\, you will make one mug rug but it does not have to be a Christmas/holiday theme. You can decide to use any fabric so that it can be used year-round. A mug rug is larger than a coaster but smaller than a place mat. It can be square\, rectangular\, circular\, etc. Please roll your mug rug up like a sausage and tie it with a ribbon or string.
