SUMMARY:Quilts of Valour Sew Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome everyone back for a Quilt of Valour Sew Day on Saturday Oct. 24th from 10-3 at our cozy meeting space\, Trinity United Church. \nPack up your sewing machine\, your trusty sewing kit\, and a little lunch to keep you fueled for fun.  Coffee and tea will be provided. \nA sign-up sheet will be ready at the Sept. 14th meeting.  The pre-sewn blocks we’ll be working with were generously donated by the Quilt of Valour organization and our guild member\, Johanna Benning.  Much like our last QOV Sew Day\, we’ll be adding sashing to these blocks and stitching our way toward two quilt tops.  It’s meaningful work\, shared together\, stitch by stitch.

SUMMARY:Global Quilt Connections - Sampler Platter Oct 24 & 25 (Fall 2026)
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Program for October\, the guild is registered for the next “Sampler Platter”\, available on YouTube on October 24 & 25 from 4-7pm ADT.  Recordings are also available for at least four days following this initial live show. \nThere will be around 20 speakers that will appear during the Sampler Platter; ten for each day.  Inevitably\, we all have different interests within the quilting world.  This format allows you to view (or skip through) a variety of techniques and quilting styles.  Remember\, if you see a technique you would love to learn\, just pass that request onto Pina Wall and she can inquire about booking our own full length workshop. \nAs the date gets closer\, you will receive a link via email for access to the presentation.  Please do not share the link with anyone outside of the Guild.  We are required to certify that only our members receive the access information. \nHope you enjoy the speakers. \nKrista \n  \nFollowing is link to list of speakers for the event. \nhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1htngpEwt9k8maXqRXyjJMJ98tP5qZL9u/view?usp=sharing
